welcome to our chateau's website. We strive to provide you with detailed information about the castle and its surroundings, as well as an overview of current opening hours, admission fees and cultural events.
Stekník Chateau, with its Italian terraced garden, is one of the most important Rococo buildings in Bohemia and, together with Žatec and the Žatec hop-growing region, has been under UNESCO protection since 2023.

The chateau grounds open at 9:45 a.m.

The text can be borrowed in English for a fee of CZK 20. Visits to the interior of the chateau are only with a guide.

Payment is only possible by credit card or in cash in Czech crown. We do not accept payments in foreign currencies.
Tours of the interior of circuit no. 1 always start on the hour and last approximately 45-50 minutes.
Tours of the interior of circuit no. 4 always start at half past the hour and last approximately 55-60 minutes.
The closing times listed are the times when the last tour ends.
Bicycle racks are located at the castle entrance, two-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from entering the entire premises. Bicycle locks can be rented for a refundable deposit.
Flying drones without prior permission is prohibited above NPÚ buildings! See the visitor rules.
OFFER FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Wheelchair users and persons with limited mobility Barrier-free access is provided in the courtyard, at the ticket office with a ramp (one step), where there is also a barrier-free toilet, to the castle chapel, to the exhibition areas, and to the castle garden (only around the building on the first terrace).
Parking
- Parking is not permitted in the entrance to the chateau grounds.
Parking on the square in the center of the village for a fee, cash in CZK only, approx. 80 meters from the chateau entrance.
Cyclists are not permitted to ride on the grounds (the chateau courtyard). Please lock your bicycle securely to the bicycle racks at the entrance to the chateau, which are monitored by a camera surveillance system. Please note that access must remain clear for cars and, if necessary, the fire department. Please only park your bicycles at the bicycle racks.

Accessibility
Barrier-free access to the chapel, exhibition area in the ground floor, upper garden terrace and the chateau courtyard.
Pets
Entry to the grounds only after prior approval of the administration, the free-running animals are not allowed.
Cyclists
Stekník Chateau is located on cycle path No. 6, which runs from Svoboda square, through the village of Stekník, Hradiště, Strkovice, Mradice, Skupice and Březno u Postoloprt. This is a Cycling Trail Žatec – Thum, section No. 6.
Child facilities
Seating with tables is in the courtyard with tables and benches in the castle garden.
Refreshments
Refreshments (cold and hot drinks) at the cash desk.
We recommend planning your meals before or after visiting the chateau in nearby Žatec, Postoloprty, or Louny.
